Filling pumps allow the pipeline to be filled with water quickly prior to the pressure test. Pipe pressure testing pumps apply the test pressure to the pipeline at a constant volume rate. The length of the test is determined by using a multiple of the time it takes to pressure the pipe.

- Pump units are fitted with detachable manifolds which means when carrying out a type 2 pressure test the pump can safely be removed once the pipe line has been pressurised.

- All pumps are supplied with water reservoirs (header tank) as most water authorities donot permit direct water connection of pumps to water services / mains. (regardless of double check valve)
- All pumps (except manual pumps) are designed so that when the pressure lever is in the ‘off’ position the water re-circulates to tank under no pressure.
- All pumps are fitted with a drain valve for effective drain off of water from the pump in cold weather to prevent frost damage. (Applicable when the pumps are running without hoses)
- All pumps are fitted with quick release couplings. The couplings are designed so that incorrect hose connections can not be made.
